Client Challenge – Migrating to the Cloud While Improving Broker Access to Guidewire Portals 

For one of the top 10 Canadian mutual insurance companies, ACINI was selected to partner on a major digital transformation initiative to migrate the entire Guidewire Suite to the Guidewire Cloud. Given a strong broker distribution model, the customer also needed to modernize its digital portals to better support broker interactions, enable new features, and maintain integration with external systems. The complexity of the upgrade and the need to align bespoke legacy functionality with the new Guidewire out-of-the-box (OOTB) components presented a significant architectural and design challenges for subsequent portal deployment to ensure future-readiness to support new insurance products. 

Acini’s Solution – Strategic Support and close cooperation with Guidewire for Portal Redesign and Transition to the Cloud 

Acini staff provided senior-level architecture and developer expertise in Guidewire Digital Portals (Flaine, Jutro) with a focus on architecture, business analysis, and solution design.    

Key contributions included: 

  • Shaped the redesign of broker-exposed portals, ensuring alignment with new Guidewire capabilities while retaining and upgrading critical custom features 
  • Maximized use of Guidewire OOTB functionality to reduce development overhead and support costs 
  • UX and Policy/Billing Synergy 
  • Addressed strategic areas such as policy changes and billing workflows with exceptional user experience   
  • Delivered solutions that streamlined the integration between the insurer and the broker applications 

Business Impact – Improved Broker Efficiency, Reduced Operational Costs and Achieved High Customer Satisfaction with Transition to the Cloud.
